Description
RFP N00244-04-R-0064. FISC San Diego has a requirement for contractor performance work for the PIPING AND MACHINERY INSULATION AND LAGGING INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS at various shipboard locations within Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Naval Pearl Harbor Complex, Ford Island, and other Federal installations on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii. The basic period of performance is 01 October 2004 through 30 September 2005 and will include four (4) option periods. Interested parties may obtain a copy of solicitation N00244-04-R-0064 via the Navy Commerce Online, Business Opportunities, www.neco.navy.mil. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 13 July 2004. No hard copies will be issued. Vendors shall be registered with the Central Contractor Registration CCR website http://www.ccr.gov. The NAICS is 336611 and the FSC is 7220. The Statement of Work (SOW) will pr ovide tasks for the Lagging requirement. The SOW will include security requirements for accessing vessels or sites at which naval vessels are under repair or overhaul (Title 32, CFR Section 765.5). Safety, Health, Air Pollution and Hazardous Requirements will be addressed in the SOW, including Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (29 U.S.S. 651-678), and Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Ship Repairing (29 CFR 1915), as promulgated under Public Law 85-742, amending section 41 of the Longshoremen?s and Harbor Workers? Compensation Act (33 U.S.C. 941), and adopted by the Department of Labor as occupational safety or health under Section 6 9a) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (29 CFR 1910.13). Vendors are required to reserve their questions until the solicitation is released. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. See numbered notes 1 and 26.
