- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Puget Sound has a requirement for seal assemblies required for ship alteration. This requirement is to be negotiated on an unrestricted sole source basis with Wartsila Lips, Inc., 3617 Koppens Way, Chesapeake VA, per FAR 6.302. The requirements are: 2-each, seal, mechanical, 28-inch, type ER, inboard, PN:US73344-04 and 2-each, Housing Mechanical, 28.00 inch, type NR, upper bearing, lower rudder seal, PN: US73344-02. These seal assemblies will be installed into the rudder bearer casting for the rudder stocks onboard a naval vessel. There is a critical required delivery date of 1 November 2004 to meet scheduled ship alteration, FOB Destination at PSNS, Bremerton, WA 98314. Interested responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals, which will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents.
