Description
The US Army CECOM Acquisition Center Washington, is seeking candidate vendors on behalf of the US Army's Office of the Project Manager Close Combat Systems (OPM-CCS) for a Foreign Comparative Test Program in accordance with Defense Acquisition Regula tion (DFAR) 206.302-1(b) for an Area Mine Clearance System (AMCS) Fiscal Year 2005. The candidate systems must be commercial non-developmental (in production or fielded) area clearance vehicle systems. The primary characteristics of interest are: Effect iveness in neutralizing anti-personnel (AP) and anti-tank (AT) mines in various types of soil and vegetation; rates of area clearance in various types of soil and vegetation; the impacts of terrain, slope and burial depth on neutralization and rates of cle arance; protection provided to the operator from mine blasts; system vulnerability to mine blasts; air transportability on standard US military aircraft; operation in various soil types and climatic conditions/temperature ranges; and the availability of a remote control capability. All interested sources with a non-developmental (in production or fielded) area clearance system may submit data addressing the primary characteristics may submit responses, not to exceed ten (10) pages. Responses are to be rec eived via email no later than close of business on 15 July 2004. Proprietary information submitted in response to this Sources Sought will be protected when clearly identified as proprietary. Response packages shall be submitted via electronic mail to M s. Patricia Davis, Contracting Officer at pat.davis@cacw.army.mil. Any questions regarding the submission of materials should be addressed to Ms. Davis. Submission of this information is for planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitmen t by the government to procure any items/services, or for the government to pay for the information received. No solicitation document exists. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. Respondents wil l not be notified of the results of this survey or results of information submitted.
