Description
These services include standard Microsoft and Linux network operating environment, telecommunication, storage area network (SAN), personal data access (PDA), communication equipment, databases, software, servers, router, switches and desktops. As ou r reliance on information technology increases at an exponential rate, changes in network technology, software applications, office automation, and the nature of the Internet make it necessary to enhance and upgrade, as migration plans require. Background : Because of the dual role of the Chief Army Reserve (CAR), OCAR requires information services that allow its staff the ability to accomplish its missions in support of the CAR. This information technology services provides the Chief Army Reserve and his staff enterprise level IT support for an approximately 350 users. Scope: The purpose of the IT support service is primary to provide day-to-day Information Technology and Telecommunications services with limited Record Management and Property Accountabili ty. The period of performance shall be 1 Oct 2004 through 30 Sep 2005 with four (4) option periods. The award will be made based on the best value to the Government with price equal in importance to non-price factors. This RFP will be available on DCC-W 's web site: http://dccw.hqda.pentagon.mil/services/RFP1.asp. Printed versions of this RFP will not be sent. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The proposal shall be submitted in both electronic and p rinted formats. The electronic format shall be sent to peter.macaluso@hqda.army.mil. A signed printed format shall be sent to the issuing office to the attention of Peter Macaluso, Contracting Officer. See Note 1.
