Description

Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment required to renovate portions of the basement and second floors of Building 1 for primary care functions. The work consists of general demolition and construction, the installation of a small HVAC system, plumbing and electrical work to install office spaces and exam rooms with sinks, and room finishes, as detailed in the contract drawings and specifications. All work is to be done in strict accordance with the contract specifications and drawings. The performance period is 180 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Electronic solicitation documents may be obtained FREE via the Business Opportunities System website: www.bos.oamm.va.gov. Requests for hard copy solicitation documents must be in writing to the Contracting Officer and accompanied by a nonrefundable check for $30.00 made out to the Department of Veterans Affairs. NO telephone requests will be accepted. Any and all questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing and faxed to the Contracting Officer at 320-255-6341. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will only be available on the Business Opportunities System website. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all amendments. If you are downloading this solicitation, it is strongly recommended that you complete the solicitation mailing list available on the website. NO solicitation mailing lists are maintained with the Contracting Officer. Drawings are in AUTOCAD Revision 2004 format. The estimated cost range for this project is $250,000 to $500,000. The North American Classification System (NAICS) is 236220; size standard is $28.5 Million. Issue date is June 24, 2004. A Pre-bid meeting/walkthrough is scheduled for Thursday, July 15, 2004 at 2:00PM CT (local time), attendance is not mandatory, but is strongly encouraged. Bid opening is 2:00PM (local time) on Wednesday August 11, 2004. Electronic and faxed bids will not be accepted. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
