- Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision to perform the work to accomplish Seismic Upgrade of Building 6 at the Portland VA Medical Center, Portland, Oregon. Work includes constructing additional shear walls to bring building up to current seismic codes. Work also includes the removal or bracing of interior hollow clay tile walls and the seismic bracing of mechanical and electrical systems. Other architectural finish work will be required within the building. asbestos and lead abatement issues also exist. Estimated Construction range is between 1,000,000 and 5,000,000. Period of Performance will be approximately 270 calendar days. NAICS Code 236200 applies. The bid package will be available on or about 07/12/2004 electronically FREE at http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov or http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Copies on CD will be available from the Portland VA by written request only, for a non-refundable $50.00 fee. Only certified checks or money orders will be accepted. No fax or telephone requests will be accepted. Electronic offers will not be accepted. Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. It is essential for Bidders to register on the Solicitation Mailing List for this solicitation to receive notification of any/all amendments.
