Description

The Defense Distribution Depot Barstow, California (DDBC) provides materiel distribution services including the receipt, storage and issuance of materiel as well as special functions such as preservation, packaging, packing and marking, mobile crane and rigging support and kit assembly/disassembly in support of all items placed under its accountability by the Defense Logistics Agency and the military services. The Defense Distribution Center is seeking offeror?s to perform the above functions on a best value basis. Solicitation SP3100-03-R-7001 is expected to be released on or about December 2, 2002. The resultant contract will be awarded on an all or none basis as a hybrid fixed price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with cost reimbursement provisions. The term of the contract consists of a three-year base period and a two-year option period. An additional five one-year options are available under the Award Term provisions of the solicitation. The NAICS Code and Size Standard is 493110 and $21.5 million, respectively. A site visit and pre-proposal conference will be conducted at DDBC on a date to be determined. A hands-on demonstration of the Distribution Standard System (DSS) will be presented in conjunction with the site visit/pre-proposal conference.
