- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic (MLCLANT), Norfolk, VA is procuring services to maintain, repair and operate the DFC300®Fuel Cell at the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Air Station Cape Cod. MLCLANT intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source to Fuel Cell Energy, Inc. under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.5 (section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohn Act of 1996). The Contractor shall provide services to maintain, repair and operate the manufactured and perform annual testing to the DFC300®Fuel Cell at the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Air Station Cape Cod, MA. The contractor shall provide continual monitoring of the fuel cell, accomplishing emergent maintenance as required to keep the fuel cell operating at peak performance. Any interested firm capable of providing these services is requested to respond to this synopsis via e-mail to: rhsmith@mlca.uscg.mil or facsimile at (757) 628-4134/4135, no later than July 2, 2004 with the following documentation: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, and a capability statement explaining your company’s capability of providing factory-trained technicians with the ability of performing these services. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232-33. CCR can be obtained by accessing the Internet at www.ccr2000.com or by calling 1-888-227-2423. The applicable NAICS Code is 221119. Any correspondence concerning this acquisition shall reference Request for Quotation (RFQ) Number HSCG84-04-Q-AA1091. The anticipated sole source solicitation, and any subsequent amendments, will be available electronically on the MLCLANT Intranet Web site Web site http://www.uscg.mil/mlclant/fdiv/fdiv.html on or about July 12, 2004 with an anticpated closing date for receipt of quotes by August 12, 2004.
