Description

Solicitation Notice: This synopsis is being issued to seek and solicit offers from qualified and eligible firms to provide all plant, labor, tools, parts, equipment, transportation, incidentals, and engineering and design services to design and construct a pre-engineered metal building measuring approximately 24' wide x 45' long, 16' eave height, clear span, double slope roof, rigid metal frame building. The building will be used for washing vehicles and shall be insulated and heated. The contractor shall design and construct the reinforced concrete building foundation. All design and construction shall comply with the latest version of MBMA Design practices Manual, the Uniform Building Code, and all applicable Federal, State and Local codes, regulations, and requirements. This project is located at the Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge which is located near Green River, WY. The performance period will consist one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days. The first thirty (30) calendar days will be devoted to design and the remaining ninety (90) calendar days will be devoted to material submittal approval and actual on-site construction. A Request for Quotation soliciting proposals/quotes will be issued on/or about June 29, 2004 with a closing date on/or about July 29, 2004. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. The solicitation will be available through the Government wide point of entry (GPE) (http://www.fedbizopps.gov). Please note that the drawings and specifications will also be posted with the solicitation as a pdf file and will be available for download from the GPE. This acquisition is unrestricted and open to all responsive, responsible offerors. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. Award will be made to the responsive, responsible offeror whose proposal contains the combination of those criteria offering the best overall value to the Government utilizing price and past performance. Price and past performance will be weighted equally. Effective October 1, 2003, all contractors doing business with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service shall be registered on the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website as an active vendor in order to be considered for possible contract/purchase order award. Firms submitting an offer in response to this solicitation must be registered in CCR prior to the solicitation closing date. The website is: www.ccr.gov.
