- DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The projects are located in the San Jacinto Ranger District on the San Bernardino National Forest and consists of the demolition, removal and reconstruction of the comfort stations at Boulder Basin and Lake Hemet, all meeting accessible standards. In addition all comfort stations will require the construction of concrete accessible sidewalks. The contract also calls for the rehabilitation, extension of the existing hydrants at the Boulder Basin Comfort stations and the reconstruction of the existing hydrants at the Lake Hemet Comfort stations, meeting accessible standards. There will be NO pre-bid meeting. Estimated contract time will be 120 calendar days. NAICS CODE: 236210 Size Standard: $28.5 million. Offers are due by 12:00 noon, April 19, 2004. Government estimate is $250,000.and $500,000. PROJECT LOCATIONS: Boulder Basin – From San Bernardino, proceed west on Interstate 10 approximately 26 miles to the 8th Street Exit in Banning, CA. Turn right at end of exit. Turn left at Lincoln Street, travel approximately 0.5 miles to San Gorgonio Avenue, turn left and travel approximately 15 miles on SR-243 to junction of Forest Road 4S01. Travel approximately 5 miles to the Boulder Basin Campgrounds. Lake Hemet – From Idyllwild, CA, travel approximately 5 miles to the intersection of State Road 243 and State Road 74. Travel east on SR-74 for approximately 4 miles to the entrance of Lake Hemet Campgrounds, (Forest Road 6S15).
