- Description
- The CDC, National Center for Health Statistics, Hyattsville, MD has a requirement to provide document preparation and editing services for a publication that will be submitted to a peer-review journal. The contractor will prepare from transcribed materials six original documents, each about 4-5 single-spaced pages; edit six manuscripts and approximately 2-3 short chapters (introduction and conclusion) from electronic media (Word); contract with a consultant to provide scientific review; format all materials in a consistent manner; submit all draft materials for peer review by a consultant; and prepare entire proceedings for submission to a peer-review journal. All materials will be provided to the contractor in electronic format. These include manuscripts, transcriptions, workshop-related documents (e.g., meeting agenda, participant roster, acknowledgements). The contractor will interact with authors of manuscripts to assure that editing is faithful to the original intent. A scientific consultant (to be selected by NCHS) will provide an initial peer review of the entire proceedings. The estimated number of pages with which the contractor will work is 195. The contractor will submit completed project on a compact disk as one pdf file and one Word file. The entire scope of work and evaluation factors for this project are addressed in the solicitation. This solitation number 2004-Q-01384 will be issued as a 100-percent small business set-aside on or about July 7, 2004 and quotes will be due July 23, 2004.
