Description

This is a notice of intent to award on a sole-source basis for commercial items in accordance with FAR Part 12 procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only notice; a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Citizenship & Immigrations Services (CIS) intends to contract with Siemens Business Services Inc., 4705 Duke Drive, Mason, OH 45050 for 3 months of maintenance of a Siemens RM600E database server during July, August and September 2004. Service to iclude routine maintenance, rapid replacement of faulty components, and availability of technical troubleshooting specialists skilled in repairing this exact model. This contract is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with Siemens Business Services under the authority 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 unless additional sources are located. This notice is being solicited on a sole-source basis.
