Description
THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY IMMIGRATION AND CUSTOMS ENFORCEMENT An immediate need exists for temporary Aircraft, Office and Maintenance Support space facilities on an active airfield to be available no later than September 15, 2004, in Plattsburgh, New York. Requirements are for 5,000 square feet of occupiable office space, with adjacent vehicle parking, and adjacent to or within 2 minutes travel time to an existing hangar facility having a minimum of 15,000 square feet of rentable space. The preference is for contiguous or at least adjacent office and hangar/maintenance space. However, offers will be considered from those capable of providing only office space, or only hangar/ maintenance space for a short-term lease not to exceed 24 months. Offers are concurrently being solicited to meet the longer term requirements of this aviation operation, which includes approximately 7,500 square feet of administrative office, 15,000 of maintenance support space, 2,000 of mechanical support spaces, 15,000 square feet of aircraft hangar, and parking for 20 vehicles. Leased premises must be located on or immediately adjacent to, with unencumbered access to an airport in Plattsburgh, New York. Requirements shall include access to a minimum 7,000 foot long, hard-surfaced/lighted runway with instrument approach. Available services must include readily available emergency fire and crash response, air traffic advisory system for takeoffs and landings, immediate access to the runway for takeoffs, and limited/controlled access to the leased premises, including the aircraft ramp area. All services and utilities shall be included as part of the rental consideration. Seeking a six (6) year lease, with three (3) years firm. Occupancy for this longer term requirement is needed no later than March 1, 2005.
