Description
Utilizing Simplified Acquisition procedures, the General Services Administration?s Public Buildings Service (GSA/PBS) under Agreement No. GS-04P-02-BVA-0001, intends to issue an award to the Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia Tech Research Corporation in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(3) ? Industrial mobilization; engineering, developmental, or research capability; or expert services. No other solicitation documents are available. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and a determination by the government to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Under this proposed action, the GTRC will integrate behavior observation techniques of a Time Utilization Study (TUS) and Space Syntax, seeking, where possible, improvements to both methods. The integrated data will allow researchers to more carefully and accurately develop and test hypotheses about the relationship between spatial variables and workplace behavior, and will provide better diagnostic data for space planners. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties shall identify their interest and capability to response to the requirement by e-mail not later than 12:30 pm, Tuesday, July 6, 2004 to Virginia.Burwell@gsa.gov or by fax to (202) 501-3836. Interested firms shall identify the firm?s status (i.e., Hubzone, 8(a), woman-owned, small disadvantaged, small or large business)
