Description
SCOPE OF REQUIREMENT: The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requires guest rooms, meeting rooms, food and beverages, audio visual equipment, business center services, etc. of a qualified hotel in the Washington, DC metropolitan area for its 2005 Managers' Conference. The conference will be held during one of the following periods: September 12 - 16 or 19 - 23, 2005. The estimated number of sleeping rooms per night is 155. The meeting space requirements include, but are not limited to, general sessions for 155 and 280 classroom style w/two people per 6' table, numerous breakout sessions for 30 to 50 classroom style, an office, registration/refreshment break area, and food and beverage events. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: The hotel must 1) be compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391) and hold a FEMA certification number; 2) be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA); and 3) have one of the following ratings: First class or higher per the Hotel and Travel Index; Three crowns or higher per the OAG Business Travel Planner; Three diamonds or higher per AAA; or Two stars or higher per the Mobil Travel Guide. HOW TO ACQUIRE A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION: OCC anticipates issuing the solicitation about June 23, 2004, at www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation will contain the details of the rooms and services required by the hotel, the instructions for submitting a quote, and how the quotes will be evaluated. THIRD PARTIES ? If you submit a quote on behalf of a hotel, you must follow the instructions in Part IV of the RFQ. This is NOT a small business set-aside. It is a full and open competition using simplified acquisition procedures under the Commercial Item Test Program. All responsible parties may submit a quote that will be considered by the OCC.
