Description

?This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command.? The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Purchase Order on a Sole-Source basis to Dantec Dynamics, Inc., 777 Corporate Drive, Mahwah, NJ 07430-2379 for removal, replacement, and installation of QTY 1 EA Dantec Fiber Optic device on a resident Dantec LDA System resident in the Newport, RI water flow tunnel. Ancillary training is also required. The Government plans to issue a request for written quote to Dantec Dynamics, Inc., using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 under the authority of USC 2304 (c)(1). The anticipated award date is 01 July 2004. This action is being processed on a Sole Source basis due to the fact that the Dantec LDA System is proprietary to Dantec LDA System. A Statement of Work will be provided with the RFQ. There are no substitutes available for these services. No other vendors are approved to offer the services required. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room.
