A firm fixed-price Requirements type contract is contemplated with one basic year and 2 (two) option years for repair of TF33 HPT blades. Line Item 0001: Test and Check: NOUN: TF33 HPT Fan Blade (2 Blade Set) Input/Output NSN: 2840-01-411-0982RV, P/N: 780831. BEQ as follows: 2465 sets Basic Year, 2200 sets Option Year I, 2200 sets Option Year II. Line Item 0002: Repair: NOUN: TF33 HPT Blade (2 Blade Set) Input/Output NSN 2840-01-411-0982RV, P/N: 780831. BEQ as follows: 2465 sets Basic Year, 2200 sets Option Year I, 2200 sets Option Year II. Line Item 0003: Repair: NOUN: TF33 HPT Blade (2 Blade Set) Input/Output NSN: 2840-01-167-9602RV, P/N: 800231. BEQ as follows: 2215 sets Basic Year, 390 sets Option Year I, 390 sets Option Year II. Line Item 0004: Repair: NOUN: TF33 HPT Blade (2 Blade Set) Input/Output NSN: 2840-01-150-7416RV, P/N: 529441. BEQ as follows: 2215 sets Basic Year, 390 sets Option Year I, 390 sets Option Year II. Line Item 0005: G009 Data Reporting 1 Lot. This Line Item is NOT SEPARATELY PRICED. Applicable to: TF33 Engine. Destn: Tinker Air Force Base OK 73145-3032. IPE quantity of 10 each sets of TF33 HPT Blades may be required. Delivery: Item 0001: To Be Determined per month starting 30 days ARO and receipt of reparable assets for all years. Quantity will be determined by the number of blades that are sold against Line Item 0001 and do not require repair under Line Item 0002. Line Item 0002: 1,000 sets per month starting 30 days ARO and receipt of reparable assets for all years. Line Item 0002 quantity will be adjusted according to quantity of blades passing Line Item 0001. Description: TF33 HPT blades are approximately 4 inches in length and has a tapered chord length ranging from 1.2 inches at the root to 0.9 inches near the blade tip. The blade also has approximately a 45-degree angle of twist from root to tip. Turbine blades are matched by weight in sets of two in order to obtain a balanced assembly. All TF33 engines have 130 HPT blades (65 sets of 2 blades). Function: As the initial turbine stage directly following the combustion section, the primary function of the first stage turbine blades is to drive the high speed (10th through 16th stages) compressor. Also known as the high-speed turbine. The first stage turbine serves to move the high pressure, high temperature gases from the combustion chamber to subsequent low speed turbine stages. Qualification requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Qualification requirements are not available for this acquisition. These qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001 through 0004. The approximate solicitation issue date is 06 JUL 2004 and the estimated solicitation response date will be 06 AUG 2004. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation that shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
