- Description
- The VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics is soliciting quotations to furnish all labor, supervision, materials, equipment and supplies necessary to clean and sensitivity test all facility smoke detectors (approximately 1,400) including duct detectors which are predominantly, but not solely limited to Notifier Model SDX-551, Notifier Model FSP-751 and System Sensor Model 2451 at the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center & Clinics, 8495 Crater Lake Highway, White City, Oregon 97503. Work shall be conducted per manufacturer specifications and NFPA 72 (latest version). Service personnel shall be factory certified to perform testing and maintenance of subject smoke detectors. Initial cleaning and sensitivity testing services shall be completed by July 31, 2004, with two (2) optional years to renew the annual cleaning and sensitivity testing services. NAICS: 561621, Size Standard: $10.5 million. Solicitation documents will be available in electronic and hard copy form. Notice: Any amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at this URL. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. This procurement is restricted to Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concerns. Notice of Set Aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns. (a) The proposed contract is 100% set aside for award to service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns. Offers or quotations from other than service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. (b) Definitions. As used in this provision: _Service-disabled veteran-owned small business concern_ _ (1) Means a small business concern _ (i) Not less than 51 percent of which is owned by one or more service-disabled veterans or, in the case of any publicly owned business, not less than 51 percent of the stock of which is owned by one or more service-disabled veterans; and (ii) The management and daily business operations of which are controlled by one or more service-disabled veterans or, in the case of a veteran with permanent and severe disability, the spouse or permanent caregiver of such veteran. (2) Service-disabled veterans means a veteran, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(2), with a disability that is service-connected, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(16).
