- Reference Number 04-866-5053 Amendment 0001 Questions and Answers Question 1: If possible, could you please disclose the application, materials of interest, and temperature range for the testing characterization of interest. Answer 1: We want to measure heat capacities and enthalpies of phase changes (including heats of vaporization) for common building materials (gypsum, cement, wood) and plastics from ambient (~20 C) to ~1000 C. To make these measurements we require a system consisting of both a differential scanning calorimeter and simultaneous thermal analyzer. Question 2: When are responses (quotes) due? Answer 2: June 18, 2004, by 3:00p.m. Eastern Time.
