- This is Amendment 0008 for a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items that was originally issued on 20 February 2003 and is hereby amended as follows: A) The above closing date (31OCT2003) is applicable only to those offerors with whom the Government has conducted negotiations for the Rail Interface System II (RIS II). The solicitations Item Numbers for the RIS II are 0021, 0022, 0023, 0024 and 0033. B) This amendment is issued to notify the applicable RIS II offerors that discussions have been concluded and that final proposal revisions shall be submitted, in writing, on or before 31OCT2003, 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. Any revisions submitted shall be limited to changes in proposed pricing. Revisions to technical proposals shall not be accepted. The Government intends to make award without obtaining further revisions. Telefaxed proposal revisions are a llowed (FAX Number is 812-854-5095). Revised proposals for the solicitations remaining item numbers shall be addressed in upcoming amendments. C) All other terms and conditions in the solicitation remain the same. Offers shall be delivered to: Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane, Building 2521, Attn: Don Ellison (Code 1162), 300 Highway 361, Crane, IN 47522-5001. All required information must be received on or before 31OCT2003, 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.
