- THRESHOLD AND BINARY MONITORING: The United States Geological Survey intends to issue an order under other than full and open competition to Advanced Data Mining Services, 2123 Old Spartanburg rd, Greer SC 29650. The purpose of this acquisition is to purchase technical services for the development of threshold and binary monitoring devices and strategies for long term monitoring of MNA and EPR Developed resources from previous studies that are in the possession of Advanced Data Mining Services are needed for this study and selection of another contractor would cause serious time delay and loss of already developed information. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See note 22.
