Description

The work of this project consists of the preparation, refastening, and application of preservative to all wood components on the exterior of two visitor centers at Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Affected structures are the main park Visitor Center located in Medora, North Dakota, and the Painted Canyon Rest Area Visitor Center, located on Interstate HWY 94, approx. seven miles East of Medora. This project also includes the preparation and painting of the exterior of the South Unit Maintenance Shop and may include the Maintenance Warehouse if funding allows, both buildings are located in the headquarters area of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, in Medora, ND. Cost range: $25,000 - $100,000. Period of performance: August 16, 2004 through September 30, 2004. This RFQ will be issued electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site at http://ideas.nbc.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be made available. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are required to register at the National Business Center and on the Central Contract Registration (CCR) website (http://www.ccr.gov). Be prepared with your company's DUNS number, available from Dun and Bradstreet at 1-888-546-0024, and Federal Tax Identification Number (TIN). Should any contract result from this solicitation the contractor shall be required to provide a Performance Bond (SF-25) and Payment Bond (SF-25A) equal to 100 percent of the award amount. The contractor shall also be required to provide a valid Certificate of Insurance. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 238320 with a size standard of $12.0 million. Solicitation issue date is on or about June 30, 2004.
