Description
NO PRINTED COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL BE DISTRIBUTED. ALL DOCUMENTS WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE ON THE WEBSITE STATED BELOW. The solicitation, amendments (if any), and all documentation relating to the acquisition will be made available to industry via the Internet on USPTO?s Office of Procurement Internet web page at http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/ac/comp/proc/currproj.htm. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) anticipates conducting a full and open competition for an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for uniformed Armed Security Guard Services with a period of performance of one (1) base year and four (4) one-year option periods, with three (3) possible 1-year award term options. The NAICS Code is 561612 with a small business size standard of $10.5M. The purpose of this full and open competitive acquisition and the resultant contract is to provide stationary and roving armed security guard services, 365 days a year/24 hours a day, to campus sites occupied by the USPTO in Alexandria, VA and Arlington, VA. USPTO is currently in the process of relocating most of its campus from Arlington, VA to its new headquarters facility in Alexandria, VA. The new Alexandria campus will include eight (8) buildings, two (2) parking garages, and house approximately 9,000 people. The solicitation will be subject to a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and will require that interested firms possess past experience similar to USPTO?s requirement. Interested parties must check the USPTO?s website at http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/ac/comp/proc/currproj.htm for posting of the Solicitation which is anticipated to be available on or about June 23, 2004. The Request for Proposal (RFP) closing date will be thirty (30) days after issuance of the solicitation on the USPTO?s Internet home page. FACSIMILE OR ELECTRONIC BIDS ARE NOT AUTHORIZED FOR THIS ACQUISITION. All proposal submissions in response to the solicitation must be submitted in writing to the following address: U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Office of Procurement, Attention: B. Morehart, 2011 Crystal Drive, CPK-1, Suite 810, Arlington, VA 22202. All submissions must also cite the SOLICITATION NO. DOC52PAPT0401018.
