- Description
- PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Construct Parrot Recovery Aviary Complex on the Caribbean National Forest. Base bid consists of construction of the 3600 SF concrete main building and hurricane shelter, approx. 1.5 acres clearing and grading, approx. 1170 SY paved access road and parking area, 2.6 Km underground power lines, 3 Km above-ground water system, pump and storage tank, septic system, and site utilities. Add/alternate items are a 1280 SF concrete maintenance building, 250 SF concrete quarantine building, wire flight cage, and walk-in refrigerator freezer. Contract time is 300 calendar days. PROJECT LOCATION: from PR Hwy 3 in the Palmer / Rio Grande vicinity, turn south on PR Hwy 191, follow PR 191 for 6.4 Kms to the intersection with PR 9966, turn west into PR 9966 and follow it for 1 Km to the project site. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. SOLICITATION INFORMATION: This solicitation and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps as an Invitation for Bid and will be available for downloading on or about July 1, 2004. In addition, hardcopies will be available at a designated location in Puerto Rico. All potential contractors and subcontractors should register on the FedBizOpps website as an Interested Vendor. The Interested Vendor's list will be the only Bidders List maintained for this procurement. A site showing is scheduled for July 14, 2004; further details will be provided in the solicitation.
