Description
NAICS Code: 541620 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) Office of Atomospheric Programs (OAP) Clean Air Markets Division (CAMD) intends to award a sole source firm fixed-price Purchase Order using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA) of Cambridge, MD. The purpose of this acquisition is to renew CAMD's subscription to retainer services for North American Gas Service, Power Service, and Gas & Power Scenarios Service through June 30, 2005. It has been determined that CERA is the only known source that is able to provide an ongoing fundamentals-based comprehensive analysis of supply and demand factors, including new sources of supply (traditional, frontier, and LNG) and demand changes from power, industrial, residential, and commercial segments. CERA's analysis considers the importance of price elasticity of gas demand and fuels substitution, together with industrial load responses in the greater context of North American economic conditions. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541620. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which if received within 10 calendar days of the date of this announcement will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The estimated value of this procurement is $15,000.00. All questions should be directed to Jami Rodgers via e-mail at rodgers.jami@epa.gov.
