- The Marine Corps Regional Contacting Office ? Midwest (MCRCO-MW) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Ravenel Brothers, Inc. d/b/a Ravenel, 174 Hobcow Drive, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464, for the acquisition of a commercial travel services contract for the period of 1 Oct 04 to 31 Mar 05 or terminating earlier pending the transition to the Defense Travel System. Ravenel currently has a travel office established on site at the Marine Forces Reserve, 4400 Dauphine St., New Orleans, LA, and will issue approximately 8,480 tickets during the period. An attempt to negotiate a 6 month option period into the contract will be included. MCRCO intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c ) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. The results of this notice will be used in preparing a Justification and Approval document under the authority cited. No solicitat ion package is available for this procurement. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal indicating their willingness to provide an on site travel office, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
