Description

The principal components of the work include replacement of the existing high pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system for the three pumping unit motors. This will require 1) disassembling, removing, and disposing of unusable portions of the existing high pressure carbon dioxide systems; 2) furnishing, installing, and testing a new high pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system; 3) performing complete cleaning and identification of equipment, devices, piping, and valving for the new high pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system and 4) perform testing of new system after installation. The work is located at the Snake Creek Pumping Plant, 1401 Hwy. 83 NW, Coleharbor, North Dakota in McLean County. The estimated range of the work is between $100,000 - $250,000. Solicitation packages are estimated to be available on July 12, 2004. Requests should be received on or before July 26, 2004.The bid opening is tentatively scheduled for August 10, 2004. The contract is to be completed in 183 calendar days. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional copies will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed without charge, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, 316 North 26th Street, Room 2035, Billings, Montana. Prospective offerors desiring to visit the work site should make arrangements with Mr. Thomas Volk, Snake Creek Pumping Plant, 1401 Hwy. 83 NW, Coleharbor, North Dakota, telephone (701) 337-5756, fax (701) 337-5758. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The NAICS Code is 238220. The Small Business size standard is $12 million.
