Description
This is modified to change Classification Code from 25 - Vehicular Equipment Components to 20 - Ships & Marine Equipment. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Folsom Dam has a requirement for the designing, furnishing and installation of an anchoring system for waterway marker buoys. 1. Contractor shall furnish and install waterway markers. Markers shall conform to the California Boating Law, Title 14, Section 7002 (b)(2), which describes a regulatory marker identifying a restricted area as having "A diamond shape of international orange with a cross of the same color within it against a white center." Supplemental qualifying language such as "Do Not Enter" may be used on the markers. 2. Contractor shall install the anchoring and waterway markers to identify a restricted area upstream and immediately adjacent to Folsom Dam with the dimensions of 1800' X 800'. The markers shall be positioned to restrict access to the concrete gravity portion of Folsom Dam. 3. Contractor shall design to handle lake elevations fluctuating between 466 feet above sea level and 370 feet above sea level. 4. Waterway Markers - Submit manufacturer's specifications of Can Buoys. 5. Anchor System - Submit specification sheet and cutouts for the anchors (if used) to secure the buoys in the proper position. 6. Connecting Hardware - submit manufacturer's specifications sheet for all cabling, chain, clamps, bolts, etc., to be used as part of the waterway marker and anchoring system. 7. Shop Drawings - Submit Plan, Elevation, Sections and Details showing design criteria, structural aspects wet stamped by California licensed Civil/Structural PE. 8. Concrete Mix Design - Submit proposed concrete mix design from the company supplying concrete (if applicable).
