Description

The proposed effort is for an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contract for five years for Technical Engineering Support Services for AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopters to include FMS Helicopter Variants. The authority permitting ot her than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, entitled Only one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed acquis ition is limted to McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company (MDHC), 5000 East McDowell Road, Mesa, AZ 35215-9797. A technical data package suitable for full and open competition is not available for this requirement. As sole manufacturer and design authority of the AH-64 Apache Helicopter, MDHC maintains the exclusive engineering, design, and manufacturing. All reponsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by this agency. See numbered Note 22.
