- Contractor shall provide the labor and expertise involved in developing, pilot testing, and evaluating Web-based modules which address issues related to infection control, and more specifically the updated CDC Isolation Precautions guideline. Modules will be created for two specific audiences; physicians, and nurses and/or other healthcare professionals who care for hospitalized patients. Although modules will be similar for both audiences, they shall be specific to the role each plays in patient care, as well as individual learning levels and language needs. These modules shall be case studies based in a ?virtual hospital? where the healthcare workers can perform patient care duties such as ordering labs, taking vital signs, deciding what personal protective equipment they need to don, when to wash their hands, and make other decisions about care. A firm-fixed price type service contract for approximately one (1) year is anticipated. RFP 2004-N-01202 will be available on or about May 21, 2004. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns.
