- Description
- The Forest Service seeks proposals for presale services on the Three Rivers Ranger District, Colville National Forest. Project locations are near the town of Kettle Falls and Colville, Stevens County, Washington. The work consists of GPS Traversing, Boundary Posting and Painting, Tree Marking, and Cruising (sample and 3P). The areas are Deadman, Southdeep II, Manley Bugs, Bulldog Salvage II, Orient WUI, Burnt Valley WUI, Bangs WUI and Lakes WUI.. WUI = Wildland Urban Interface, which have fuel reduction objectives. Resulting contract will be a three year contract with task orders placed each season depending on funding availability. Field Season is usually from May 1 through November 30 of each season. For Field Season 2004, the Government is estimating task orders to be placed in the Deadman Rework - 1,000 acres, Orient WUI ? 450 acres and Burnt Valley WUI ? 300 acres. For Field Season 2005, the Government is estimating task orders to be placed in Bulldog Salvage II ? 250 acres, Bangs WUI ? 300 acres, and Lakes WUI ? 600 acres. For Field Season 2006, the Government is estimating task orders to be placed in Southdeep II ? 1,200 acres, and Manley Bugs ? 250 acres. Contractors and employees shall be highly qualified either as shown by certifications, past experience and education. NAICS code is 115310 with size at $6.0 million.
