- Work under this contract consists of mechanically brushing approximately 19.3 miles on Forest Service Road 5N60, which involves of the cutting and disposal of all vegetative growth, including trees and other vegetation less than eight (8) inches in diameter, which interferes with sight distance or encroaches on the roadbed, ditch line, or culvert inlets and outlets. LOCATION: Project is located on the Big Bar and Hayfork Ranger Districts of the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, Trinity County, California. From Redding, travel approximately 83 miles west on Highway 299 to County Road 433 just prior to Burnt Ranch. Turn left onto County Road 433 for approximately 2 miles; road will then turn into County Road 417 for approximately 1 mile to beginning of project. End of project will end at County Road 327 on the Hayfork Ranger District. See solicitation for locality map. CONTRACT TIME: 30 calendar days. Work is estimated to start approximately August 2, 2004. Solicitation estimated issue date is June 24, 2004, with an estimated due date of July 21, 2004. The solicitation will be posted at this website for viewing and printing.
