Description
The purpose of this modification is to announce that the attachment to this RFI has been posted and to extend the date to 30 June 2004. This is a Request for Information. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) is seeking commercial vendors whose products are designed, configured and certified or undergoing certification by the DoD Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) for compliance with the DoD Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) Responder Interoperability Master Test Plan. DLA desires to interact with vendors to determine if products should be incorporated in future DLA PKI infrastructure and applications directions. This is a request for information (RFI) and no contract will be awarded pursuant to this announcement. This RFI does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement will be issued. DLA invites comments and feedback on its draft OCSP architecture design (see attached) to ensure maximum performance and scalability from any future DLA OCSP implementation. Interested parties are requested to submit their comments and recommendations on this draft OCSP architecture that they believe will optimize the performance and scalability of DLA?s public key infrastructure. Comments and recommendations should be standards compliant and not based on a vendor?s proprietary design. The government does not intend to otherwise pay for information received in response to the RFI. The comments and recommendations will be evaluated to determine if they are compatible with open standards and can be integrated with the DoD PKI. There is no implied promise that DLA will incorporate any or all recommendations into their design. The final OCSP architecture design will be used to solicit a proposal for products that meet DLA?s performance and scalability requirements. Vendors should include FIPS compliance and NIAP certification results as applicable. The Government shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with applicable Government regulations. If there is a GSA or other contract vehicle already available for the technology being proposed, please include this information in the response. Firms who wish to respond to this should send responses via email NLT 15 June 04. Point of contact is Ms. Brenda Geist at HQ DLA Support Services, 8725 John J. Kingman Rd, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060, Facsimile Telephone (703) 767-1172, email brenda.geist@dla.mil.
