Description
NA The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will be issuing a Invitiation for Bid for the Maintenance Dredging. The Federal Project will be performed to restore the Main Ship Channel from the Ted Williams Tunnel to the President Roads anchorage area, the President Roads anchorage area, and the 40-foot Broad Sound North Channel to their authorized depths. Approximately 1,800,000 cubic yards of sandy silt and clay dredged material will be removed from the Federal project. About 220 cy of rock ledge and some large bo ulders will be blasted and removed. A sunken flat deck barge about 100-120 feet long and 40-50 feet wide will also be broken up and removed. All material dredged from the Harbor, except the sunken barge, will be disposed of at the Massachusetts Bay Dispo sal Site (MBDS). The estimated cost of the project is over $10 million. Solicitation shall be made available via the Internet on or about 6/30/02. The following Invitiation for Bid will be unrestricted. No paper copies of the solicitation or amendments will be available. The firms interested must register to receive the solicitation. Registration instructions are available on the internet at http://www.nae.usace.army.mil as well as the media by which the solicitation will be made available. Amendments , if any, to this solicitation will be made available at this internet site. Neither telephonic, mailed nor fax requests will be accepted. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the registration list. All responsible so urces may submit a proposal which will be considered by the New England District. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (17-JUN-2003).
