- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) is conducting market research to determine if there are small businesses capable of providing services to process, duplicate and distribute 16mm and 105 mm microfilm. The NAIC code is 561439 and the size standard is $6.0 million. The services required include: Develop exposed silver microfilm supplied by SSA (16mm document film, medium speed, 16 mm document file, archive storage media, 16 mm computer output microfilm and 105mm computer output film); Furnish 16 mm silver direct duplicating film of both speeds; Duplicate a portion of the 16 mm document film of both speeds; Process duplicate silver film exposed under this contract; Furnish reels, film locks and cardboard boxes; Pick up exposed film from Boyers, PA, Wilkes Barre, PA and Baltimore, MD. All masters and duplicates shall meet the current ANSI standards for LE 500 storage life, including those for film type, handling and processing. All processed film and duplicates shall be returned to the SSA location from which it was picked up within 24 hours. Estimated daily quantities are: Boyers, PA 10,000 feet (16mm), Baltimore, MD 20,000 feet (combined 16 mm and 105 mm com) and Wilkes Barre, PA 100,000 feet (combined 16mm masters and duplicates). Any responsible firm that feels it has the capability to provide these services may respond in writing no later than June 17, 2004 with a capability statement.
