Description
The equipment to be provided is for use at the U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility, Yokosuka, Japan. The Government desires to purchase a commercially available Plasma Cutting Machine, computer numerically controlled (CNC), and capable of cutting mild steel with a position accuracy of ? 0.15/300mm for a maximum cutting size of 2,500mm x 6,200mm x 36.0mm using the plasma arc cutting method. The brand name specified equipment is the Komatsu ?TWISTER? Fine Plasma Cutting Machine, Model TFPL 6082 with Cutting Table (Machinery). This procurement will be evaluated pursuant to FAR 52.211-6 ?BRAND NAME OR EQUAL? under North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 333512. The Plasma Cutting Machine shall be completely functional, new, not a prototype (as advertised), and commercially available. Wording and numbers on the machine and its components shall be in both the Japanese and English languages. Its design shall include features and components necessary to meet the performance requirements specified in the performance work statement and shall be complete, so when connected, it may be used for any function for which it is designed and constructed. Offers must have the necessary management staff, material, facility and equipment to fulfill the requirements set forth in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), which will be provided under Solicitation N00189-04-R-0026. The solicitation shall be issued on or around13 April 2004. All responsible sources must submit pricing and past performance data by 4:00 p.m. on the date the offer is due. Potential Offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at http://www.neco.navy.mil or FEDBIZOPPS at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. This office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the proposal.
