Description
The purpose of this modification is to make a change in the Statement of Work and to provide a clarification to the Weapon Specification. Paragraph 3.2 of the Statement of Work states that the Electronic Stress Screening (ESS) on all GCSC shall be conducted with the unit under power at a temperature range of -20?C to +50?. The temperature range for ESS testing is changed to 0?C to +50?. The following is only for clarification purposes: WS 33950 is the System Specification for the entire MK 160 MOD 9 Gun Computer System which lists requirements, capabilities, operating states, reliability, etc. The existing design depicted in technical data package submitted as part of the solicitation is considered by the government to meet the design requirements and does not require the contractor to conduct additional testing to these design requirements specified in WS-33950 sect ions 3.2.9 through 3.2.16; however the contractor shall comply to the manufacturing processes and safety which would be applicable. Pages 4-1 through 4-5 of WS 33950 lists testing requirements for a first article unit. Since there is no requirement for a first article unit, testing in this section does not apply. The contractor shall perform the necessary quality assurance and workmanship testing specified in the Statement of Work for this solicitation including Electronic Stress Screening (paragraph 3.2), the testing, inspection acceptance and quality assurance requirements of paragraph 3.4 and 3.4.1. Packaging, handling and transportation requirements Statement of Work paragraph 3.6 apply.
