- Description
- The U S Geological Survey (USGS), Geologic Hazards Team, has a requirement for services to perform design and programming tasks in support of the new ShakeCast system, which provides early estimates of the severity of shaking during an earthquake. Contractor shall be required to: 1) Finalize development of a fully operational ShakeCast software system from existing prototype reference system; 2) Initialize user-friendly facilities interface to existing MySQL database; 3) Provide self-installing, downloadable ShakeCast systems online for both UNIX and Windows; 4) Interface with new and existing ShakeMap/ShakeCast clients and respond to user feedback by system modifications; and 5) Complete technical, user, and installation documentation. Interested parties shall complete the Request for Quotation (RFQ) No. 04CRQQ0183 on the Electronic Commerce Web Site at the following address: http//ideasec.nbc.gov/. Telephone requests for the RFQ will not be accepted. It is anticipated the RFQ will be available on or after June 8, 2004. Responses to the RFQ will be due on or about June 23, 2004. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business. See Note 1.
