- Description
- The National Park Service intends to issue a Request for Quote for a Firm-Fixed Price contract. Construct 13 all cypress wood chickees. The contractor shall furnish all tools, labor, materials, equipment, supervision and incidentals required. The large upright poles shall be 8" dia. The roofing materials shall be thatch from palm frawns. Roof pitch shall be between 40-45 degrees. Building sizes are follows; 10' x 10'-all open sided hut. This RFQ will be issued electronically, on the Department of Interiors National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the National Business Center. Proposal documents will be made available in the Microsoft Word, HTML and Adobe PDF. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideas.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing http://ideasec.nbc.gov site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notifications will be sent. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using Simplified Acquisition Procedures as outlined by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13. The anticipated range of this project is expected to be between $25,000 and $100,000. With a period of performance of thirty (30) calendar days for all onsite work following the Notice to Proceed. Should any contract result from this solicitation the contractor shall be required to provide a Performance Bond (SF-25) and Payment Bond (SF-25A) equal to 100% of the award amount. The contractor shall also be required to provide a valid Certificate of Insurance. In accordance with FAR Part 19.10 this solicitation is being issued as unrestricted available for full and open competition with no small business set aside. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 238130, SIC 1751 with a size standard of $12 million. Proposed issue date is June 24, 2004.
