Description

Roads Construction Project No. F.Y.I.R. 102(1): The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Western Regional Office, seeks Indian-Owned Construction Firms which can provide all labor, materials, equipment and services to place hot asphalt concrete pavement and pavement markings on 0.300 miles on Route 1; grade, drain, place aggregate base course, place hot asphalt concrete pavement, misc. PCC curb & gutter, and pavement markings on 0.384 miles on Route 102, Fort Yuma Indian Reservation, Imperial County, California. Estimated Price Range is $250,000 to $500,000. ISSUE DATE o/a 15 JUNE 2004. BID OPENING DATE o/a: 15 JULY 2004. THIS PROCUREMENT IS SET-ASIDE FOR 51% INDIAN-OWNED AND CONTROLLED FIRMS UNDER THE "BUY INDIAN ACT." 25 U.S.C. 47, Section 7(b) of P.L. 93-638 (25 U.S.C. 450e) requires that preference opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaska Native individuals and that preference in award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaska Native economic enterprises. Indian firms bidding under this Act must self-certify they are eligible under the "Buy Indian Act."
