Description
STATEMENT OF WORK The Army Corps of Engineers, HECSA - Maint & Tran Branch, intends to award a contract for Installation of a Chemtron single shot clean agent fire suppression system in rooms 1010 and 1010C. Synopsis and Solicitation: This is a com b ined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicit ation; a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W912HQ-04-T-0014, which is a request for quotation (RFQ). The fllowing FAR provisions apply: 52.212.1, Instructions to Offerors-Commerical Items. Additional FAR and DFAR clauses a re applicable: 52.212-4, 52.212-5, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.232-33, 252.225-7001. Offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items, with their quote. Reps & Certs are located at Statement of Work Installation of Fire Suppression System Rooms 1010, and 1010C Building 2592, Annex W.O.# W802Y941346680 A.1. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, material, labor and equipment to install a Chemtron single shot clean agent fire suppression system in rooms 1010 and 1010C. Ceiling height of nine (9) feet in both room with a combined square footage of 1009. (Room 1010 is 625 sq. ft. and room 1010C is 385 sq. ft.) Both rooms have raised access flooring. The project location is building 2592, Humphreys Engineer Center, 7701 Telegraph Rd., Alexandria, VA 22315. All on-site workers must be U.S. Citizen s and Contractor shall provide names and Social Security Numbers of workers prior to arrival on the job site. Contractu al POC is HECSA Contracting Office, 703-428-7153, FAX 703-428-8181. A.2. The Contractor shall install black iron piping between the supply cylinders and the dispersion devices. A.3. The Contractor shall a conventional releasing panel. A.4. The Contractor shall install a sufficient number of photoelectric devices to monitor the entire area. A.5. The Contractor shall install a sufficient number of ionization type smoke detectors to monitor the entire area. A.5. The Contractor shall install one manual release station and one manual abort station. A.6. The Contractor shall install an alarm bell, horn strobe, and a discharge strobe warning devices. A.7. The Contractor shall dispersion devices under the raised access floor. A.8. The Contractor shall install separate storage cylinders to supply each room. A.9. The Contractor shall install all electrical wiring in electrical metallic tubing or flexible electrical conduit. A.10. The Contractor shall install all piping and discharge nozzles as required to provide a complete installation. A.11. The Contractor shall conduct a fan test at the completion of job. B.1. Installation of all materials shall be performed in accordance with the manufacturer's approved instructions and/or recommendations, as well as regulations cited below. B.2. Contractor shall install materials IAW EM 385-1-1, US Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual, National Electric Code (NEC) and, 28 CFR Part 36 and Public Law 101-336 -Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). B.3. Contractor shall furnish the government a warranty for a minimum of one year for parts and service (at no additional cost to the government), including all labor and service calls if needed. Contractor shall also submit Manufacturers extended warra nties on equipment to the POC. B.4. The contractor shall not leave any areas in an unsafe manner and shall remove debris from the complex on a daily basis. B.5. Contractor shall verify measurements and site conditio ns. Contractor shall provide submittals (and be approved by the POC) for all equipment and materials prior to purchase. B.6. Any Government property damaged by contractor shall be repaired to a condition acceptable to the Government at no additional cost to the Government. B.7. All work shall be performed during normal duty hours, 0700 to 1700 daily or shall be coordinated with the P.O.C. for special work hours. B.8. Safety equipment shall be worn at all times. B.9. Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all information of manufacture requirements, and shall install all materials and equipment in accordance with manufacturer's requirements. B.10. All work shall be done in a professional workman like manner. B.11. All material used for this project shall be new, and any requests to use equivalent parts and materials must be made and approved by the POC prior to purchase/installation of materials. B.12.
