Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make multiple awards for the provision of Comprehensive Medical Services for the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Offerors are encouraged to submit comprehensive proposals providing all listed requirements. Offerors who propose less will be evaluated accordingly. The successful contractor(s) shall provide community inpatient/outpatient hospital and physician services, as well as, institution-based outpatient specialty services. The contract period shall consist of a base period with four 12 month option periods for renewal. Usage quantities for each contract year are as follows: Inpatient Days - guaranteed minimum of 220 days and estimated maximum of 700 inpatient days; Outpatient Visits- guaranteed minimum of 100 visits and estimated maximum of 200 visits for each contract year. Due to the volume of information, quantities of outpatient institution services will be provided in the solicitation document. The solicitation will be available on or about June 22, 2004 and will be distributed solely through this website. Hard copies of this solicitation will not be available as the site provides downloading instructions. All future information concerning this solicitation, including amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site; therefore, interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most current information concerning this solicitation. Interested parties are encouraged to use the Vendor Notification capabilities available through the fedbizopps website. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The anticipated date of receipt of proposals is on or about August 8, 2004. This solicitation is unrestricted and all responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal for consideration.
