- Description
- The intent of this contract is to furnish, deliver, and install two floating boat docks with gangway and new trolleys. The units shall be delivered to Bullard's Bar Reservoir,Dark Day Boat Ramp and to Stampede Reservoir, Captain Roberts Boat Ramp. The contractor shall perform all operations and supply materials and furnish equipment necessary to fabricate, deliver, unload and install the units on the existing railing(Dark Day) with the new trolleys in accordance with plans and specifications and install (Capt Roberts) on the existing cable system. The project is located on the Tahoe National Forest, Downieville and Truckee Ranger Districts. Description: From Nevada City proceed north on Calif. State Hwy. 49 for approximately 22 miles to the intersection with Marysville Road, turn left onto Marysville Road and proceed ahead for approximately 2.5 miles to the intersection with Dark Day Road, turn right onto Dark Day Road and proceed ahead for approximately 0.75 miles to the Dark Day Parking Lot and Boat Ramp and the beginning of the project. From Truckee, California proceed north on Interstate 80 for approximately 7 miles to the Hirshdale Exit, turn right at the exit and proceed ahead to the intersection with Road 270 (Stampede Dam Road) turn left and proceed ahead for approximately 7 miles to the intersection with Road 261 (Dog Valley Road) turn left onto Dog Valley Road and proceed ahead for approximately 2 miles to the intersection with Road 261-6 (Boat Ramp Road) turn right and proceed ahead for approximately 0.75 miles to the Capt. Roberts Boat Ramp and the beginning of the project. Estimated start work date August, 2004. Contract time 100 days. Solicitation issue date July 12, 2004.
