- Description
- The U S Postal Service will solicit a National Contract for the leasing /rental of motor vehicles for mail delivery. Lease terms will extend to a maximum of three (3) years. The primary types of vehicles to be leased are minivans (preferable EPACT compliant). The minivans are used in the carrier delivery operations. Other types of leased/rented vehicles will include step vans, cargo vans (7 ? 11 ton), tractors (single & dual axle) and yard tractors/spotters. Leases will be set up as closed end leases. It is preferred that leased vehicles be used. In addition, any vehicle leased in excess of 90 days must be white in color in keeping with the USPS image. Currently, the USPS has approximately 284 active motor vehicle leases, which comprises 1,654 vehicles.
