Description
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Anaheim, Marriott under the authority of FAR 6.302 for single room lodging in the Anaheim, California area for a maximum of 67 people from 7/16/04 through 7/23/2004. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received from interested parties will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement Rates should be no higher than the current government travel per diem rate. (TAX EXEMPT) Check in will be on July 16, 2004, until and Checkout July 23, 2004. This award will be made utilizing the simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Part 13. All FAR Part 12 Clauses/Provisions are applicable and 52.212-3. Vendors shall be in compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391), and must hold a FEMA certification number and shall be in compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA). All vendors must provide their FEMA certification number. Awardee must be a certified contractor in the Central Contractor Register (CCR), for payment via electronic funds transfer. The NAICS code is 721110. ATF seeks a sole source award because the Annual Gang Violence Conference will be held at the Anaheim Marriott. The hotel had been preselected by the California Gang Investigators Associations who are the host of the conference. Award will be made no later than 6/10/2004. James.Huff@atf.gov.
