Description
This modification corrects the solictation number referenced in the general information section of the synopsis to read N00024-04-R-4309 in lieu of N00024-04-R-4009 . In addition, the FY01 and FY02 required man-hours are corrected to read 5,100 and 42,536, respectively, in lieu of 35,400 and 38,700. The modified text of the synopsis for solictation N00024-04-R-4309 is as follows: The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a sole source contract modification to The Boeing Company, BCM3 and Strategic Systems, 3370 Miraloma Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92803 for additional AN/USQ-82(V) Fiber Optic Data Multiplex System (FODMS) Design Agent and Technical Engineering Services under Contract N00024-02-C-4009. The estimated number of additional man-hours needed to support FY01 and FY02 requirements is 5,100 and 42,536, respectively. This requirement will be issued under Solicitation N00 024-04-R-4309 pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). The Boeing Company is the original system designer and developer of the AN/USQ-82 FODMS and is the only company that possesses the requisite knowledge and experience to perform the required FODMS Design Agent and Technical Engineering Services in the Navy?s required time frame. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
