- Description
- The John F. Kennedy Center intends to solicit proposals for the upgrade of the Kennedy Center?s Electronic Security System by awarding to a contractor based upon the best value to the government. The security system upgrade shall include the replacement of the existing security system servers, security management system software, advanced processing alarm and card access controllers, control panel and lock power supplies, operator, administrative and identification badging workstations, identification badge printer, report printer, closed circuit television matrix switcher, closed circuit television cameras, duress intercoms, intercoms, and digital closed circuit television recording equipment. The contractor shall convert existing proximity card readers and alarm sensors from the existing security system to the new security system. The contractor shall utilize the existing card readers, alarm sensors, and security cable infrastructure to the fullest extent practical. The security management system shall include an imbedded identification card generation program and identification badge design program. The contractor?s offer must meet all the technical requirements and contractor qualifications outlined in the Kennedy Center Electronic Security System Upgrade Specification. A site visit will be held prior to due date of the proposals and a schedule will be provided in the solicitation. Proof of an established business in the Electronic Security System industry (state license or equivalent) will be required for the release of project plans and specifications. The contract includes the electronic security system upgrade, requires a one-year warranty from date of system acceptance, and shall include four one-year options for maintenance and repairs. The contract will be a firm-fixed price contract. The estimated release date of the solicitation will be June 22, 2004 and the estimated due date for the proposals will be August 6, 2004. The estimated date for award of the contract will be in September 2004. Only email requests for a solicitation received directly from the requester are acceptable. No telephone requests for the solicitation will be accepted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561621 and the size standard is $10,500,000.
