- Under the authority of FAR 6.302.1, the Northern Region Contracting Center, Fort Eustis, Virginia intends to make an award on a sole source non-competitive bases for services for camping to include billeting, training facilities, support services, an d meals for 180 cadets and 33 cadre for a total of 13 meals per participant. Emergency medical capability must be present, and communications must exist to seek medical evacuation if necessary. Facilities must be self-contained so as to provide on-site b illeting, feeding, showering and training (to include latrines, tentage, cots, mosquito netting, pool, archery equipment, COPES course, repel tower, ice, entomology and pest control and general house keeping supplies for camp. Contractor must provide conti nuous staff presence during the camp, and must provide a safe environment for personnel. Camp facilities must be located within the Savannah, Georgia area. The NAICS code is 721211, SIC Code is 7032, size standard $6.0M. This proposed action is for suppli es and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source in accordance with the authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as implemented in FAR 6,302.1. A determination not to open the requirement to competition based on responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the agency. Closing date for this notice is June 8, 2004, 12:00 PM. This synopsis may represent the only notice of this action.
