Description

There will be a mandatory site visit for this solicitation on the 15th of June 2004, all interested parties meet at the front gate of McConnell AFB, Kansas at the above-mentioned date and contact TSgt Lalena Burns 316-759-4533 for the designated time. A requirements package will be provided at the site visit. This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format listed in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. FA4621-04-Q0043 is being issued as a Request for Quotation, which incorporates provisions and clauses for commercial items in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-22 and 23. This acquisition is reserved for small business. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 42450. The small business size standard is 500 employees. McConnell AFB, KS plans to acquire the following items: Fire alarm system IAW Statement of Work for the Medical Group Facility. Replace fire alarm control unit with 24 hour battery backup and software program. Replace the two remote enunciator panels located in Acute Medical Care Clinic and front lobby. Replace the 25 fire pull stations, 11 smoke detectors, and 25 addressable modules to connect to existing equipment. Dismantle all equipment being replaced or not operating. At conclusion of project, fire alarm system will notify individuals with horn and strobe, when fire alarm system is activated either via pull station, smoke detectors, or sprinkler activation. System will also notify base fire department of fire alarm activation. MFR: Secutron or equal. Requests for the Statement of Work can be sent to lalena.burns@mcconnell.af.mil.
