- This is the first pre-solicitation notice. Another notice will be issued again prior to the release of the solicitation. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, located at Atlanta, Georgia anticipates issuance of a solicitation for the renovation and expansion of the Food Service Department at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Talladega, Alabama. The successful contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment and expertise for this construction project. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This project is a total 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 236210, which contains a size standard of $28.5 million. The period of performance for the resulting contract is 365 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered at www.ccr.gov. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The projected issuance of solicitation IFB-31303-072 will occur on or after July 28, 2004, and will be distributed solely through the General Service?s Administration Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
